LEARN THE STORY
The Willow Point property is a three-acre peninsula extending into Lake Buchanan from the western shore. Purchasing the property in 2003, we built each log cabin facing the lake within 25 feet of the water’s edge at optimum angles. We wanted to make sure that guests had limited views of each other and maximum views of the lake. Spacing the cabins along the shore far enough apart to give each cabin a sense of separateness and privacy was important. We ended up with eleven cabins in a rough semi-circle around the peninsula shoreline, leaving gathering areas inside the circle for:
– The Club House: a shared space for coffee, popcorn, board games, TV and Wi-Fi
– Crockett Hall: a rented space for group meals, wedding receptions, parties and conferences
– Open spaces for campfire rings, volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, washers, ladder golf, corn hole and picnic tables in the shade
Recently, we added boat rentals, exclusively for Willow Point vacationers including jet skis, pontoon boats, canoes, stand up paddle boards and kayaks– all are available daily right on the shoreline.
THE LAKE HOUSE
In 2008, we purchased and renovated what is now The Lake House. It has five bedrooms, four full bathrooms, 3300 sq ft and can sleep up to 25 guests. The view from the deck sweeps toward the lake across an acre of lawn with a campfire ring, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, corn hole, ladder golf, washers and a private sandy beach.
IN THE MEDIA
Many others have learned about us and have discovered the special nature of this place. Willow Point has been featured in Texas Monthly, The Houston Chronicle, and The Texas Hill Country Magazine. They have declared Willow Point to be a wonderful location for family vacations as well as a relaxing, renewing getaway for couples of all ages.
Many couples looking for a wedding venue have been inspired by our natural setting. Thus, we have become a destination wedding location, adding wedding amenities to our list of accommodations. Now, we are pleased to host destination weddings without the hassle, confusion and high cost of other wedding venues. Our many beautiful brides and happy grooms agree that their special day was, indeed that, special.
Willow Point Resort is what we chose it to be…natural, uncluttered, restful, and relaxed yet full of activity. It is not only Peaceful (even with the giggles and screams of summer fun), but an oasis of tranquility, and family friendly for all of our old and new families and friends that visit.
Now that you know a little about us, why not come for a visit and get the whole story? We would love to share our little piece of Hill Country Paradise with you!
