Fall Creek Vineyards is located on the Northwest side of Lake Buchanan, making it a scenic 20 minute drive from Willow Point Resort. Founded in 1975 by Ed Auler and his wife Susan, this winery has been leading the charge for Texas vineyards ever since.
The name comes from the nearby water attraction Fall Creek, which flows through the Auler family’s property close to the winery. What started out as a French-inspired endeavor, after Ed Auler came back from his travel to France, has evolved into a complex variety of wine exploration.
After experimenting with French-American hybrid grapes, Fall Creek Vineyards allocated its resources into planting grapes like: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Malbec, just to name a few. The progression of their wines is a true testament to their ability to constantly aim for a higher quality product.
For the last 10 years Fall Creek Vineyards has been focusing its attention on red wines. This attention has led them to a monumental breakthrough in the way of their premium red wine called Meritus. Constantly striving to improve upon themselves, even when they’re at the pinnacle of Texas wineries, Fall Creek Vineyards hired Chilean winemaker Sergio Cuadra in 2013. Sergio’s reputation proceeds him, as his global insight working with companies like Concha y Toro and Errazuriz Group provides even more assets to the high-achieving winery.
